Semi-matte filament with a subtle gloss

Fiberlogy FiberSatin makes models look as if they were not a product of a 3D printer. High layer bondability and the slightly glossy, matte finish conceal the drawbacks of additive printing technology, such as the visible boundaries between individual layers. Semi-matte filament can be an alternative to silk filaments for people who look around for an interesting finish in a rather matte and refined version.

In addition to its unique visual properties, FiberSatin is also distinguished by its unique texture. In touch, it resembles filaments with the addition of carbon fiber. Thanks to that it diffuses the light, giving off a subtle gloss. FiberSatin is as easy to print with as traditional PLA. To achieve a successful printout, it is enough to use the profile of  Fiberlogy EASY PLA or other PLA family.

A semi-matt filament such as FiberSatin will be perfect for decorative creations. Examples include vases, phone or jewelry stands, and Christmas tree decorations. Its relatively low thermal resistance and lack of UV resistance make it unsuitable for outdoor 3D prints.

APPLICATION IN 3D PRINTING:

  • DECORATIONS: ornaments, figurines, interior decorative elements
  • UTILITY: toys, boxes, handles, jewelry stands, functional models
  • HOBBY: functional models, cosplay, model making

FibeSatin properties:

  • semi-matte finish with a subtle gloss
  • perfect hiding of layers
  • rough texture
  • easy to print like PLA

As an alternative to silk filaments, FiberSatin stands out with its semi-matte finish, which perfectly hides the boundaries between the layers of 3D prints. Thanks to this, the finished model gains a more noble appearance.
